This man had just arrived with his train of camels at a tent we were visiting. He sat outside the tent as did our men. I, being, female was allowed to enter to 'converse' with the women. I could say a few words of their language which is Hasaniye. It is similar to Moroccan Arabic. They were amazed to hear a white person say a few phrases in their tongue. They wondered if I were a Berber.
